Rebecca Bundick Ashby

Rebecca Bundick Ashby, 77, wife of Thomas P. Ashby Jr. and a resident of Belle Haven, VA, passed away Tuesday, February 09, 2010 at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Painter, VA, she was the daughter of the late Milton James Bundick and the late Blanche Spence Bundick. She was a member of Belle Haven United Methodist Church. Other than her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Jane A. Skweres of Pocomoke City, MD, and Jill A. Birchett of Mechanicsville, VA; three grandchildren, James D. Skweres Jr. and his wife, Sophia of Westover, MD, Julie R. Skweres of Pocomoke City, and Jennifer W. Klein and her husband, Kevin of Midlothian, VA.; a great granddaughter, Emma Skweres. Mrs. Ashby was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer A. Watson; two sisters, Betty B. Sturgis and Eileen B. Mears; and a brother, Forrest Bundick. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at 2:00 PM at the Doughty Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Madron officiating.
