R.B. Sonny Holland, Jr.

Rhoid Brandon Holland, Jr., better known as "Sonny" of Cape Charles died Saturday February 26, 2005 at Shore Memorial Hospital, Nassawadox, Va. A native of Statesville, N.C., Mr. Holland was the son of the late Rhoid Brandon Holland and the late Mary Neal Hobbs Holland. He was former owner and president of Holland Transfer Company & Distribution Center. He was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church in Statesville, he attended University of Tennessee and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. A memorial service will be held Thursday March 3, 2005 at 2pm in Nicholson Funeral Home, Statesville, N.C.. Mr. Holland is survived by two children; Slane Holland Lightburne and her husband Chris of Corona Del Mar, Ca. and R.B. "Butch" Holland, III and his wife Julie of Lewisville, N.C., two brothers; Jim Holland of Lewisville, N.C. and Shelton Holland of Linville, N.C., two grandchildren; Jack and Katherine Lightburne, both of Corona Del Mar, Ca. and a special friend Shirley Johnson of Cape Charles.
