Quinton D. Colburn, Sr.

Quinton Douglas Colburn, Sr., 82, husband of Margaret Ann Harmon Colburn and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013, at his residence. A native of Haleyville, AL, he was the son of the late Hazel Colburn. He was a retired trooper for the Virginia State Police and a member of the Virginia State Police Association. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Margie C. Bialkowski of Richmond, VA, and Quinton D. Colburn, Jr. and his wife, Debbie, of Exmore; five grandchildren, Alexandria Settle and her husband, Jamie, Victoria Colburn, Anna, Aaron, and Adam Bialkowski; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service with State Police Honors will be held Sunday, September 15, 2013, at 4:00 PM at the Doughty Funeral Home with Rev. Philip G. Godwin officiating. Memorials may be made to the Community Fire Company, P. O. Box 706, Exmore, Virginia 23350 or to the Virginia State Police Association, 6944 Forest Hill Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23225.
