Preston B. Moore

October 31, 1939 — June 5, 2016

Preston B. Moore, 76, a resident of Cape Charles, VA, passed away Sunday, June 05, 2016 at his residence. A native of Oyster, VA, he was the son of the late Kemper Moore and the late Fannie Brady Moore. He was the retired owner of Moore's Salvage.

Mr. Moore is survived by a step-son, David Dudley and his wife, Teresa, of Waynesboro, VA; a brother, Pastor Joe Moore and his wife, Nancy, of Cape Charles; three nieces, Sue E. Moore of Cheriton, VA, Jean Moore of Cheriton, Ruth Ann Moore of Cape Charles; four nephews, Robert L. Burland, Sr. of Oyster, Wilbert Lee Burland and his wife, Margaret, of Onancock, E.J. Moore of Cape Charles, Allen Moore and his wife, Theresa, of Jacksonville, FL; and three great nephews, Robert Moore and his wife, Gina, of Buhpa, KY, Eddie Moore of Eastville, VA and Freddie Moore of Pungoteague, VA. He was predeceased by two sisters, Shirley Moore, Dorothy Burland; four brothers, Sidney Moore, Percy Moore, Herbert Moore, Bill Moore; and a nephew, John Burland.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Capeville Masonic Cemetery with Bishop James E. Davis officiating. Family will join friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Riverside Shore Cancer Center, Post Office Box 17, Nassawadox, VA 23413.
