Preston F. Barnes

Preston Fletcher Barnes, 51, a lifetime resident of Wachapreague, VA, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at his residence. He was the son of the late Ray Harrison Barnes and the late Hilda Powell Barnes. He was a waterman. He is survived by his sister, Raydean B. Turlington of Pungoteague, VA; a brother, Ray "Buddy" Barnes of Wachapreague; three nieces, Lois White, Whitney Lipscomb, and Betty White; five great nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Carol Burnham and Ronnie Evans. Preston's true love was the water and his love of mankind. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Wachapreague Cemetery with Pastor Bobby Parks officiating.
