Phyllis Jones Bennett

Phyllis Jones Bennett, 84, wife of the late Warren B. Bennett, a resident of Machipongo, VA, passed away Friday, July 07, 2017, at her residence. A native of Eastville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Harry Jones and the late Annie Williams Jones. She was a retired bookkeeper for Wendell Distributing Company and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Northampton Chapter #2 Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two children, Debbie B. Ward and her husband, Mike, of Machipongo and Mindy B. Arnold and her husband, Tommy, of Franktown, VA; a sister, Shirley Jones Sweeney of Gwynn Oaks, MD; four grandchildren, Michael Ward, Jr. of Capeville, VA, Parker Ward of Capeville, T.J. Arnold and his wife Raegan of Chesapeake, VA, and Bridgette Arnold of Raleigh, NC; and six great grandchildren, Michael B. Ward III, Jackson Ward, Kinley Ward, Karson Ward, Austyn Arnold and Wyatt Arnold.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 10, 2017, at 11:00 AM, at Trinity United Methodist Church with Reverends Linda Lowe, Jeff Conrow and Russell Goodrich officiating. Interment will be private in Cape Charles Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverside Shore Hospice, P. O. Box 615, Onley, VA 23418.
