Mr. Philip Motley, 78, husband of Wilma Herrmann Motley and a resident of Belle Haven, passed away Tuesday, December 19th, 2006 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox. A native of Valley Stream, New York, he was the son of the late John Garrett Motley and the late Anna Marie Quinn Motley. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and was a retired engineer from Grumman Aerospace Corporation, Bethpage, New York. Other than his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Annemarie M. Edgar and her husband Shawn of St. Louis, MO, Kathrine M. Hunt and her husband Thomas of Stockton, NJ, and Joan M. Hearns and her husband Kieran of Merrick, NY, a brother, Richard Motley of Amityville, NY, a sister, Peggy Tinguely of Wantagh, NY, and six grandchildren; William Philip Edgar, Johanna Hearns, Annaliese Hearns, Rebecca Hearns, Leah Hunt and James Philip Motley Hunt. Mr. Motley was predeceased by two brothers, John Motley and Peter Motley. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 22, 2006 at 10:00 AM from the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with Father J. Michael Breslin officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Haven Cemetery.
