Philip Grizzard

Philip Earl Grizzard, 80, passed away Monday, February 13, 2025, in Cheriton, VA. He was the son of the late Walter Henry Grizzard and Sarah Siebold Grizzard. He attended Smithfield High School, Ferrum College, Campbell College and was an Army National Guard Reserve. He was employed as a Military Warehouse Manager and was a member of the R.B Thieme, Jr. Bible Ministries.

He studied Bible Doctrines, was an avid Railfan, he loved nature, his cats, music and sports, and was extremely proud of his son’s accomplishments.

Philip is survived by his wife, Susanne Hoffman Grizzard; son, Charlie Philip Grizzard (Michelle McCoy Grizzard); a niece and nephew, Mark (Connie) Grizzard and Mila Smith, along with many other loved ones. He is predeceased by his brother, Walter Henry Grizzard Jr.

 A celebration of life will be conducted Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at Cheriton United Methodist Church in Cheriton, VA, with Reverend Shaun Smith officiating. The inurnment will be private at Groton Cemetery, in Hallwood, VA.
