Pearl S. Costin

Mrs. Pearl Skidmore Costin, 94, wife of the late Eldred Costin and a resident of Townsend passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at Heritage Hall Health Care in Nassawadox. A native of Skidmore Island, she was the daughter of the late George Willis Skidmore and the late Wilhemenia Davis Skidmore. She was the oldest member of Lower Northampton Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Gloria C. Brady and her husband Edward Earl of Townsend, Va.; a son, E.A. "Sonny" Costin and his wife Jean of Eastville, Va.; three grandchildren, Patty B. Bailey of Seaview, Va., Richard A. Costin of Cedar Grove, Va., Edward E. Brady, Jr. of Eastville, Va.; 7 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Costin was predeceased by a daughter, Edith Pearl Costin. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 3, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Lower Northampton Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Kesterson officiating. Interment will follow in the Lower Northampton Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will join friends Thursday evening at Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 PM.
