Pauline Louise White Stevens, 90, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012, at Wilburn Gardens in Fredericksburg, VA. A native of Cape Charles, VA, she was the daughter of the late Paul Randolph White and the late Louise Townsend White. She lived for many years in Gloucester, VA and Yorktown, VA and retired from the Navy Civil Service, Norfolk Naval Base, Norfolk, VA in 1985 and returned to live in Cape Charles until 2008 when she moved to Fredericksburg. She was married to the late John H. Stevens for 26 years and to the late Richard Pelham for 11 years. Pauline is survived by her son, John R. Stevens and his wife, Leigh, of Fredericksburg; her daughter, Diane C. Caulfield and her husband, Joseph, of Panama City, Fl; her brother, David White, of Richmond, VA; four granddaughters; and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Eugene White and her sister, Margie Dubaj. A graveside service will be held Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Cape Charles Cemetery with Pastor Elizabeth A. Lutz officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, c/o Mrs. Ida Mae Robbins, 23089 Carr Lane, Cape Charles, VA 23310. Pauline was one of God's most loving and marvelous blessings and will continue to always be near us through His Holy Spirit.
