Pauline J. Isdell

Pauline Johnson Isdell, 81, wife of the late Samuel H. Isdell, Jr. and a resident of Pungoteague, VA, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at her residence. A native of Deep Creek, she was the thirteenth child of the late J. Thomas Johnson and the late Lillie Mae Bull Johnson. Mrs. Isdell retired from Dulany Foods and was a member of Hollies Baptist Church, and the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post #4856. She is survived by two daughters, Karen I. Wilson and her husband Jimmy of Melfa, VA, Paulette I. Kelley and her husband Greg of Pungoteague; eight grandchildren, Sammy, Melisa, Beverly, Jennifer, Janene, Gary, Courtney and Gregory; thirteen great grandchildren, Lindsay, Jonathan, Jessica, Makalie, Mandy, Kaycie, Samantha, Hartley, Andrew, Austin, Noah, Logan, and Marina; two great great grandchildren, Juliette and Talan. Mrs. Isdell was predeceased by a daughter, Lillie "Kay" Goswellen. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 3:00 PM from the Hollies Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe McKnight and Rev. Jonathan Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Lawn Cemetery.
