Paul John Driscoll, Jr.

January 2, 1947 — February 25, 2020

Paul John Driscoll, Jr., 73, husband of Patricia Converse Driscoll and a resident of Eastville, VA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. Born in Boston, MA, and raised outside of Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Paul John Driscoll and the late Helen Smith Driscoll. He retired from the U.S Navy in 2003 as a Master Chief Religious Program Specialist (Fleet Marine Force). He devoted just short of 36 years of his life in the service and defense of our great Nation. Paul was the first RPCM (E-9) selected in the U.S. Navy Reserves. He was dual-hatted as the Senior Enlisted Advisor (SEA) to the Deputy Chief of Chaplains for Reserve Matters and Reserve RP Rating SEA. Paul led and mentored many throughout his Naval Service – both Officer and Enlisted alike. He was an entrepreneur and a man of many passions, interests, and hobbies. Above all, he loved his family.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by three children, Graham Driscoll and his wife, Christine, of Richmond, VA, Benjamin Driscoll and his wife, Jennifer, of Seattle, WA, and Katherine Driscoll of Cape Charles, VA; a sister, Diana Schoner and her husband, Bill, of Windsor, CT; and four grandchildren, Mayson, Fiona, Delaney, and Declan.

Funeral services with Military Honors will be conducted Saturday, March 14, 2020, at 12:00pm at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cape Charles, VA, with Father J. Michael Breslin officiating. It will be followed by a reception in the church hall.
