Oscar Dhority

Mr. Oscar Brown Dhority formerly of Parsons, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at the home of his daughter in Cape Charles, Virginia, after an extended illness. Oscar was 82 years old. He was born in Victoria, Arkansas, in 1937 the son of Ollie and Estelle Dhority.

Oscar was preceded in death by his wife, Ivadene; his parents; his brothers, Thomas, Louis, and Ollie Jr.; and his sisters, Lucy, Jean, Jewel, Lois, Molly, and Donnie Mae. He is survived by his daughter, Tamela Thornes (Dennis) of Cape Charles; his son, Jerimy Curtis (Sara) of Steinbach, Germany; 2 granddaughters; his sisters, Anna, Martha, Bonnie and Pat; his brother, Kirt (Shirley); and many very special nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

There will be no viewing or funeral service. He will be interred beside his wife of 63 years in Richland, Pennsylvania. The family requests donations to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. The family would also like to thank the nurse angels, Marie, Pat, Begonia and Ticia of Intrepid Hospice for their care, love, and kindness both to him and his daughter and his son in law Dennis during the period of his transitioning. Oscar was loved so very much and will be missed by so very many.
