Norval R. Turner

Norval Russell Turner Sr., 89, husband of the late Anita Massey Turner and a resident of Nassawadox, VA, passed away Friday, February 25, 2011 in Onancock, VA at the home of his son, E. Bryan Turner. A native of Jamesville, VA, he was the son of the late John Henry Turner and the late Lillian Tilghman Turner. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Turner was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church. Mr. Turner is survived by three sons, Norval R. Turner Jr. and his wife Gayle of Walnutport, PA, E. Bryan Turner and his wife Janet of Onancock, VA, and Phillip M. Turner, Sr and his wife Sandy of Salisbury, MD; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, February 28, 2011 at the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with the Rev. Judith G. Worthington and the Rev. Jack D. Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends at the Doughty Funeral Home Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:30.
