Norman C. Shaw, Sr.

September 27, 1933 — March 31, 2017


Norman C. Shaw, Sr., 83, husband of Shirley Hill Shaw and a resident of Eden, MD, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at Manokin Manor in Princess Anne, MD. A native of Cape Charles, VA, he was the son of the late Willis Shaw and the late Rosa Lee Costin Shaw. He was a retired insurance agent, Northampton County Public Schools bus driver, former member of Exmore Moose Lodge #683, member of Exmore Baptist Church and attended Bible Baptist Church in Salisbury, MD.

In addition to his loving wife of 60 years, he is survived by two children, Rosalee S. Mauser and her husband, Bruce, of Delmar, DE, Norman C. Shaw, Jr. and his wife, Judy, of Eden; a brother, Willis Randall Shaw of Exmore, VA; a sister, Dorothy S. Batson of San Diego, CA; four grandchildren, April Phillips, Paul Mauser, Buddy Shaw, Vicki Shaw; and five great grandchildren, Abby Phillips, Brielle Phillips, Maddy Phillips, Audrina Mauser and Elizabeth Shaw. He was predeceased by two sisters, Joan Cox, Barbara Shaw and a great granddaughter, Gracie Phillips.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 3, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Pastors Jonathan Carpenter and George Herrmann officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
