Norma L. Handschur

Norma L. Handschur, 87, of Eastville, wife of the late Charles F. Handschur, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 29, 2007. Born November 14, 1919, in Brooklyn, New York, Mrs. Handschur was the daughter of the late Edward Kumm and Nora Seckendorf Kumm. Mrs. Handschur studied art in New York City and was an accomplished watercolorist. She was a devoted wife to her husband of fifty-nine years, and a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Handschur is survived by a daughter, Jean Sawyer and her husband Walter of Brunswick, Maine, a son, David and his wife Mary Miller of Eastville, Va., two grandchildren, Andrew and Emily Sawyer of Maine,and a sister, Edith Handschur of Florida. Mrs. Handschur will be missed by her circle of friends in Eastville, where she was a twenty year resident. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
