Neenah Adele Kromer,70, wife of Richard G. Kromer and a resident of New Church, VA, passed away Wednesday morning, September 7, 2011 at her residence after a long fight with cancer. A native of New York, she was the daughter of the late Vernon deTar and the late Irene Stern deTar. Neenah graduated from Syracuse University with a master's degree in education, she sang in The Penn State Concert Choir and traveled the world. She volunteered with the Candor Emergency Squad for 20 years, where she received an award for saving the lives of two people. She was the most kindhearted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Charles; two daughters, Bethany and Wendy; three grandchildren, Chelsea, Kaley and Jacob. A memorial service will be held at Chincoteague Memorial Park for the family at a later date.
