Nathaniel D. Nottingham

Nathaniel D. Nottingham Jr., 80, a resident of Painter, VA, died June 17, 2009 at Shore Memorial Hospital. He was born in Norfolk, VA on September 17, 1928 and was married to Margaret H. Nottingham for 56 years. Nat worked as a project engineer for Kiewit for over 20 years before retiring and moving to the Eastern Shore. He enjoyed being a member of the Pungoteague Ruritan Club, the Craddockville United Methodist Men's Club and the Eastern Shore Christian Businessmen's Association. In addition to his loving wife, Margaret, he is survived by his five sons, Frank L. (Gina) Nottingham of Troutville, VA, Nathaniel D. III (Mary) Nottingham of Stuart, FL, Robert Michael (Su) Nottingham of Upper Saddle River, NJ, James C. (Nancy) Nottingham of Daphne, AL, and David W. (Louise) Nottingham of Titusville, FL; two brothers, Stuart C. (Linda) Nottingham of Alexandria, VA and Mason G. (Carol) Nottingham of Fairfax, VA; and his six grandchildren, Kyle, Cory, Kevin, Jonathan, Victoria, and Kristina Nottingham. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 22, 2009 at 11 AM at the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with the Rev. Kenneth T. Armstrong officiating. Family will join friends one hour prior to the service. A reception will be held at the Craddockville United Methodist Church following the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Craddockville United Methodist Church, c/o Mrs. June Custis, P. O. Box 66, Craddockville, VA 23341.
