Nancy Scott Sturgis

Nancy Scott Sturgis, 71, wife of the late John M. Sturgis and a resident of Painter, VA, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2007. A native of Onley, VA, she was predeceased by her parents, Paul Scott and Gladys Scott Adams and her stepfather, John Adams. She retired as a telephone operator for C & P Telephone and as a switchboard operator for Shore Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her brother in-law, James N. Sturgis and his wife, Patricia of Painter, and a niece, Jennifer Sturgis Dauzier and her husband, Marc of Midlothian, VA. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, July 26th at 11:00 a.m. from the Fairview Lawn Cemetery in Onancock with the Rev. Patricia M. Kellam officiating.
