Nancy Bonniwell

Nancy Bonniwell, 88, wife of the late Edwin Marshall and the late Thomas Sidney Bonniwell, Sr. and a resident of Onancock, VA, formerly of Exmore, VA, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021, at her residence. A native of Willis Wharf, VA, she was the daughter of the late Milford Thomas Smith, Sr. and the late Nannie Ennis Smith. She was a retired Teachers Aide for Northampton County Public Schools and member of Epworth United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two children, Thomas Sidney Bonniwell, Jr. and his wife, Dawn, of Belle Haven, VA, and Elizabeth Holland Bonniwell of Columbia, SC; two grandchildren, Raven Bonniwell and her husband, Kiernan McGowan, of Washington, DC, and Thomas Cain Bonniwell of Hope, New Zealand; and one great granddaughter, Eland McGowan. She was predeceased by her brother, Milford T. Smith, Jr.

A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 3:00PM at Belle Haven Cemetery with Reverends Mikang Kim and Tammy Estep officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 488, Exmore, VA 23350 or Community Fire Company, Po Box 706 Exmore, VA 23350.
