Myrtle Hammell Wilson, 98, wife of the late William Kenneth Wilson and a resident of Cheriton, VA passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Nassawadox, VA. Mrs. Wilson was a native of Oyster, VA and the daughter of the late Garner Ladow Hammell and the late Annie Bracket Crumb Hammell. She was a member of the Cheriton United Methodist Church. She is survived by two children, W. Kenneth Wilson, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Virginia Beach, VA and Carole Wilson Hampton of High Point, NC; three grandchildren, Michael Wilson of Williamsburg VA, Leigh Ann Laneve of Lynchburg, VA, and John D. Hampton, II, of Jamestown, NC; and five great- grandchildren, Braden Troy Wilson; Ashley, Sam, and Jake Laneve; Ansley and Dallas Hampton. Mrs. Wilson was predeceased by a brother, Garner L. Hammell, Jr. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the graveside of Cape Charles Cemetery with Pastor Lynda Moore officiating.
