Myrtle Thornton Spence

Myrtle Thornton Spence, 95, wife of the late Elton James Spence and a resident of Wachapreague, VA, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2007 at Heritage Hall Healthcare. A native of Wachapreague, she was the daughter of the late Charles Thornton and the late Mamie Watkinson Thornton. She retired from Gregg Harriet Shirt Factory and was a member of Ocean View United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son, Jerry C. Spence and his wife, Ann of Wachapreague, and a granddaughter, Charlotte S. Powell and her husband Randy of Wachapreague. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the Edgehill Cemetery in Accomac with the Rev. Sallye E. H. Bowen officiating.
