Mildred Downing Dunton, 85, wife of the late Harry N. Dunton, Jr. and a resident of Salisbury, MD, formerly of Birdsnest, VA, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. A native of Birdsnest, she was the daughter of the late Goodridge L. Downing and the late Winnie Lee Taylor Downing. She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Parker of Salisbury; three sons, Harry N. Dunton, III and his wife, Jeannette, of Pasadena, MD, Michael P. Dunton of Ocean Pines, MD, Don D. Dunton and his wife, Crystal, of Salisbury; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Tommy Downing, and a sister, Winnie Lee Kelley. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 16, 2014, at 2:00 PM at the Doughty Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Carpenter officiating. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
