Melinda Sue Williams, 25, a resident of High Point, NC, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC. A native of Jacksonville, FL, she was the daughter of Jacoby Riojas of Norfolk, VA and Darlene Thornton Huckleberry of High Point. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two daughters, Emma Williams of High Point, Elizabeth Riojas of High Point; a sister, Teresa Riojas of High Point; maternal grandparents, John Thornton and his wife, Mary Lou, of Melfa, VA, Billy Bowen of Exmore, and a best friend and roommate, Iris D. Bond of High Point. She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Edna Bowen and her paternal grandparents, Antonio Riojas and Connie Riojas. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Belle Haven Cemetery with Reverend Joe McKnight officiating.
