Matthew Sutton Gummeson

Matthew Sutton Gummeson, 80, husband of Jo Marie Booth Gummeson and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Middletown, NY, he was the son of the late Clarence Gummeson and the late Winifred Sutton Gummeson. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Exmore Congregation. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five sons, Mark Gummeson and his wife, Helen, of Snow Hill, NC, Bruce Gummeson and his wife, Aracely, of Onancock, VA, John Gummeson and his wife, Sharon, of Birdsnest, VA, Joel Gummeson and his wife, Kesha, of Oak Hall, VA Benjamin Gummeson of Richmond, VA; and a daughter, Mary Griffin of Walden, NY. He was predeceased by a son, James Peter Gummeson. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Exmore Congregation with Mr. Steven Swinski officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Post Office Box 1169, Exmore, VA 23350.
