Mary Jo Stanfield Moore

Mary Jo Stanfield Moore, 86, wife of the late Harvey Lee Moore and a resident of Birdsnest, VA, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019, at her residence. She was a native of Gadsden, AL. Mrs. Moore was a United States Marine Veteran and an avid animal lover.

She is survived by three daughters, Deborah Moore Hart and her husband, Henry Carlyle, Jr., of Melfa, VA, Terry Lee Ayers and her husband, Gary Winfred, of Youngsville, NC, and Tammy Lynn Hatfield and her husband, Boyd Weston, of Townsend, VA; five grandchildren, Carl Hart, Chris Hart, Robert Hart, Lucille Leigh Hatfield, and Laura Elizabeth Hatfield; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services with Military Honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Friends may visit with the family at the home of Debbie Hart in Melfa at any time.
