Mary Goffigon Belote

Mrs. Mary Goffigon Belote, 84, wife of the late Harvey W. Belote, Jr. and a resident of Cape Charles, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at her residence. A native of Cape Charles, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Goffigon and the late Hyla Hunt Goffigon. She was a retired bookkeeper for Eastville Bank and a member of Holmes Presbyterian Church. She is survived by a daughter, Jan G. Belote of Richmond, Va.; two sons, Harvey W. Belote, III and his wife, Jane, of Cape Charles, Va., and Reade H. Belote of Smyrna, De.; four grandchildren, Reade H. Belote, Jr. and his wife, Caroline, of Richmond, Rachel M. Belote of Melfa, Paige B. Addison and her husband, Hunt, of Cheriton and Benjamin M. Belote and his wife, Jennifer, of Richmond; 2 great grandchildren; and a faithful companion and friend, Alice Ames of Capeville. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 5th at 2:00 PM from the graveside of Cape Charles Cemetery with the Rev. Ernest L. Gardner, III officiating.
