Mary Margaret Copes

Miss Mary Margaret Copes, 90, of Norfolk, formerly of Cheriton, Va., passed away Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. A native of Cheriton, she was the daughter of the late Robertson Saunders Copes and the late Lelia Mae Jones Copes. She was retired from the Florida Baptist Convention and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Norfolk, Va. She is survived by five nieces and nephews, Brenda C. White of Chesapeake, Va., Albert Lester Matthews, Jr. of Florida, Robert LaVerne Matthews of Maine, Roger Wayne Matthews of Norfolk, Va. and Patricia Shively of Northern Neck, Va. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 29th at 2:00 PM from the Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Charles Peterson officiating. Interment will be in Cape Charles Cemetery.
