Mary Elizabeth Morris Belote

Mary Elizabeth Morris Belote, 79, wife of Richard E. Belote and a resident of Tasley, VA, formerly of Quinby, VA, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Riverside Shore Rehabilitation Center in Parksley, VA. A native of Marionville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Morris and the late Myrtle Whitman Morris and the foster daughter of the late Clyde Beach and the late Mary Beach. She was retired from Virginia Landing Camping Resort in Quinby. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Tommy Fitchett, Jr. of Cheriton, VA, John "Winkie" Fitchett and his wife, Sandra, of Quinby, Jimmy Fitchett and his wife, Maryann, of Quinby; five daughters, Kaye Wyatt Young of Michigan, Rosemary Fitchett of Delaware, Susie Bower of South Carolina, Terri Morris Fisher and her fiancé, Bobby Shrieves, of Quinby, Tina Rene Belote of Parksley; two sisters, Margaret Mears Belote of Quinby, Irene Wheeler of Sandy, OR; 20 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Wachapreague Cemetery with Pastor John Burr officiating. Flowers will be accepted.
