Mark Salenski, 52, husband of Terry L. Salenski and a resident of Cape Charles, VA, passed away on his birthday, Friday, April 29, 2016, at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Syracuse, NY, he was the son of the late Frederick T. Salenski, Jr. and the late Joan Marie Becker Salenski. Mr. Salenski was a self-employed seafood buyer.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by two daughters, Stacey Sparrow and her husband, Bryan, of Cheriton, VA, Stephany Salenski and her fiancé, Patrick, of Smithfield, VA; two sisters, Annette Dwyer and her husband, Dennis, of Camillus, NY, Marie Rock and her husband, Ronald, of Seaview, VA; two brothers, David Salenski and his wife, Janet, and Randy Salenski, all of Astoria, OR ; two grandchildren, Hayden Sparrow, Analyn Sparrow and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home with Mr. Barry Downing officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, 870 Greenbrier Circle, Greenbrier Tower II, Suite 404, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
