Marion Phillips Chesser

Marion Phillips Chesser, 82, wife of the late Charles B. Chesser, Jr. and a resident of Willis Wharf, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Broadwater, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John and Pearl Powell Phillips. Survivors include two children, Marsha C. Young of Willis Wharf, Va. and Charles B. Chesser III and his wife Cheryl of Onley, Va.; two sisters, Nora P. Johnson of Deep Creek and Mary P. Brown of Willis Wharf, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and many dear friends. She was predeceased by a grandson, Philip Diaz. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the Doughty Funeral Home with the Reverend Michael Muender officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Haven Cemetery.
