Marion S. Bowen

Marion Simpson Bowen, 85, wife of the late R. Grafton Bowen and a resident of Willis Wharf, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Hog Island, she was the daughter of the late James Vernon Simpson and the late Lottie Doughty Simpson. Mrs. Bowen is survived by five children, Connie B. Reynolds of Franklin, NC, Delores B. Locklear of Willis Wharf, VA, Brenda G. Bowen of Ijamsville, MD, Norris R. Bowen, Sr. of Machipongo, VA and Robin G. Bowen of Exmore, VA; four sisters, Hilda S. Tittermary, Mary S. Burgess and Kay Moore, all of Exmore, and Nancy Morris of York, PA; 18 granchildren and 21 great- grandchildren. Mrs. Bowen was predeceased by two sons, Gerald and Roland Bowen. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore, with the Rev. Jonathan Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Eastern Shore, P.O.
