Marilyn Lilly Merritt

Marilyn Lilly Merritt, 55, wife of the late Roger Ernest Merritt and a resident of Belle Haven passed away June 29, 2008 at her residence. A native of West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William Johnson and the late Norva Jane Weis Johnson. Mrs. Merritt was a horse training enthusiast and homemaker. She was very active with the community and a friend to all those fortunate enough to meet her. Marilyn was a very knowledgeable horse trainer, well known to all who were in the business. She is survived by her lifelong love and former husband of over 20 years, Kenneth Lilly; a daughter, Elizabeth Cordell and her husband Fred of Beckley, West Virginia; a brother, Yul Johnson of Delavan, Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Cheyenne, Kierre, and Freddie; her close friend Gry Wesenberg of Norway, everyday loved ones and neighbors Dave and Jamie of Belle Haven, Margaret Morgan of Eastville, along with countless neighbors, and extended family members.
