Marie C. Hart

Marie Chance Hart, 84, wife of the late William J. Hart and a resident of Melfa, passed away Friday, April 2, 2010 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox. A native of Accomack County, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Beatrice Young Chance. She was a bookkeeper for many years for Eller Ford in Tasley and Lloyd P. Parrott Insurance Agency in Exmore. Survivors include two daughters, Joyce H. Doughty and her husband Guy of Exmore, and Brenda A. Hart and her husband William R. Kelly of Darien, CT; two grandchildren, Megan B. Doughty of Richmond, VA and Morgan E. Doughty of Blacksburg, VA. Funeral services will be conducted graveside at the Fairview Lawn Cemetery in Onancock Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Jack D. Pruitt officiating.
