Marge Collins Powell
November 24, 1941 — January 1, 2017
Marge Collins Powell, 75, a resident of Cheriton, VA, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA. A native of Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. Collins and the late Elizabeth Miller Collins.
She is survived by a daughter, Tammy Powell of Eastville, VA; two sons, Robert C. Powell and his wife, JoAnne, of Norfolk, Bill Powell and his companion, Sandy, of Cape Charles, VA; four brothers, Charles "Chick" Collins and his wife, JoAnne, of Ft. Meyers, FL, Tom Collins and his wife, Betty Lou, of Machipongo, VA, Frank Collins and his wife, Joyce, of Townsend, VA, Paul Collins and his wife, CeCe, of La Serena, Chile; four grandchildren, Ashley, Christopher, Kelsea, Chandler; and three great grandchildren, Emma, Jameson and Mahesh, Jr. She was predeceased by a daughter, Beth Powell Bitterman.
A graveside service will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Cape Charles Cemetery with Reverend Jeff Conrow officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979.
