Margaret Wescott

Margaret Sturgis Wescott, 92, wife of the late Arthur James Mitchell, the late James Ned Ashby and the late Johnie W. Wescott and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Exmore, she was the daughter of the late Leon M. Sturgis and the late Willie Lucille Belote Sturgis. She was retired from Greg Harriett Shirt Factory and a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She is survived by two children, Lou Ann Hetrick and her husband, Donald, of Hanover, PA, James L. Mitchell and his wife, Carol, of Exmore; three grandchildren, Barbara DeMarco and her husband, Mike, of Pottstown, PA, Brian J. Mitchell and his wife, Shawn, of Lawrenceville, GA, Kevin J. Mitchell and his wife, Barbara, of Ridgley, MD and six great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, February 23, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Reverends Mikang Kim and Elizabeth Freund officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, Post Office Box 488, Exmore, VA 23350.
