Margaret T. Bell

Mrs. Margaret Thornton Bell, 84, wife of the late Hilton Floyd Bell and a resident of Oyster, Virginia, passed away Friday, September 14, 2007. A native of Wachapreague, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Caleb Thomas Thornton and the late Lillian Richardson Thornton. She was a member of the Travis Chapel United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Franklin L. Bell of Oyster, VA and David Hilton Bell of Marionville, VA, two grandchildren, Terry Ann Lawton and her husband Hugo of New York, David Bell and his wife Lori of Virginia Beach, VA; two great grandchildren, William and Shelby Lawton of New York. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 16, 2007 at 2:00 pm from the Travis Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Nathan Decker officiating. Interment will follow in the Cape Charles Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
