Margaret Mapp Sturgis

Mrs. Margaret Mapp Sturgis, 75, wife of Leonard F. Sturgis and a resident of Davis Wharf passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox. A native of Exmore she was the daughter of the late Rowland S. Mapp and the late Mae Savage Mapp. She was a member of Craddockville United Methodist Church, Past Treasurer and member of A.R.C. Eastern Shore, and a member of the United Methodist Women. Other than her husband she is survived by two sons, Lennie Sturgis and his wife Miriam of Birdsnest, Va., Timmy Sturgis of Davis Wharf, Va.; a sister, Dorothy M. Wright of Williamsburg, Va.; two granddaughters, Amy G. and Martha L. Sturgis both of Birdsnest, Va.; and a great granddaughter, Hailey G. Sturgis. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 19, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the graveside of Belle Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth T. Armstrong officiating.
