Margaret Barnes Pelletier

December 15, 1938 — March 29, 2011

Margaret Barnes Pelletier, 72, a resident of Cheriton, VA, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at her residence. Mrs. Pelletier was a native of Cape Charles, VA and was the daughter of the late Warner Pierce Barnes and the late Ida West Barnes. Upon returning to the Eastern Shore she began a long and fulfilling career with the Northampton County Farm Bureau. She had many happy years serving the community and being a part of the "Farm Bureau Family." Margaret was an active member of the Cheriton United Methodist Church and a member of the Sunnyside Ringers. While undergoing cancer treatments Margaret became aware of the financial struggles of many other cancer patients. She was inspired to establish a charity, Love Unlimited for the Eastern Shore, to provide financial assistance to those in need in the community. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Anne Costa Mosser of Smith Beach, VA, Lisa Anne Reynolds Pelletier Brasch and her husband Wayne of Painter, VA; one grandson, Sean Brasch and his wife Kelly of Richmond, VA; one great-grandson, Charlie Brasch of Richmond; one niece, Ida Crumb Zuniga and her husband James of North Carolina; and one nephew, Warner Crumb and his wife Rae of Onancock, VA. She was predeceased by her twin sister, Anne Crumb Craft. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Cheriton United Methodist Church with Pastor Lynda Moore and Rev.
