Margaret Melson Kirchner, 78, wife of the late John Philip Kirchner and a residence of Exmore, died Monday Jan. 10, 2005 at Shore Memorial Hospital, Nassawadox.
A native of Chesconnessex, Mrs. Kirchner was the daughter of the late Hilton G. and Pearl Begnell Melson. She was a retired operating room nurse for Shore Memorial Hospital and a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.
A funeral service will be held today, Jan. 15 at 11 a.m. at Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore. The Rev. Tammy Estep will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Haven Cemetery, Belle Haven. Family will join friends at the Doughty Funeral Home this morning from 10 to 11 a.m.
Mrs Kirchner is survived by five children, Terry W. Walsh of Salisbury, Md., Sheila C. Kaufman and her husband James of New Castle, Washington, Cindy A. Walsh of Baltimore, MD, Jackie K. Carpenter and her husband R.L. of Cheriton and Robert T. Kirchner and wife Carolyn of Pipe Creek, Texas; a brother, Brooks Melson of Colonial Heights, Va.; a grandchild, Jason S. Haufman of Seattle, Wash.; one great grandchild, Mia Kaufman of Seattle.
