Margaret Harman Bell, 88, wife of the late Ernest W. Bell, Jr. and a resident of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. A native of Lynch Station, VA, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Price Harman and the late Nova Mae McClellan Harman. She was a retired staff supervisor for Beaumont Boys School and a member of Foundry United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a granddaughter, Jennifer B. Schreck and her husband, David, of Richmond, VA; a grandson, Ernest W. "Skip" Bell, IV of Driggs, ID; and three great grandchildren, Robert D. "Quinn" Schreck, V, Alexander P. Schreck and Hayley C. Schreck, all of Richmond. She was predeceased by a son, Ernest W. Bell, III. His widow, Margaret B. Herrin, survives. She is also survived by two brothers, Howard A. Harman and his wife, Peggy, of Jacksonville, FL, William K. Harman and his wife, Carolyn, of Lynchburg, VA; a sister, Ann H. Brookner and her husband, Phillip, of Newport News, VA; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be conducted Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home with Reverend Janet Allen officiating. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
