Lucille Franke Klaas

Lucille Franke Klaas, 94, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at the home of her daughter and son in-law, Rosemary and Bruce Bosworth of Belle Haven, VA. Lucille was born April 17, 1913 to the late August and Lisette Franke in Batchtown, Illinois. She married Emil B. Klaas on April 11, 1934. Surviving are five of her six children, Erwin Klaas of Ames, Iowa, Ruthann Jones of Manchester, MO, Barbara Hammack of Godfrey, IL, Fran Warner of Travelers Rest, SC and Rosemary Bosworth of Belle Haven, VA, 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Ronald, her sisters, Helen Hillen and Charlotte Klaas of Batchtown, IL and her brother August Franke of Godfrey, IL. Her life will be celebrated with a mass at 10:30AM on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Saint Barbara's Catholic Church in Batchtown, IL. Burial will be in Saint Barbara's Cemetery in Batchtown, IL. Lucille's son and daughters give special thanks to Mavis Parks of Exmore, VA for the loving care and companionship that she provided to their mother this past year. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Eastern Shore, P.O. Box 316, Parksley, Va. 23421. Arrangements were made by Doughty Funeral Home of Exmore,VA and Hanks-Gress Funeral Home of Hardin, IL.
