Lucille Brickhouse

Mary "Lucille" Brickhouse, 90, wife of the late Richard T. Brickhouse and the late Malvin Moore and a resident of Cheriton, VA, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Oyster, VA, she was the daughter of the late Howard L. West and the late Mary L. West. She was a devoted member of Travis Chapel United Methodist Church. Many would say "Jesus loves me, this I know because Miss Lucille told me so."

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Lena Mears and her husband, Wayne, of Cheriton; a sister, Essie M. Roper of Cheriton; two granddaughters, Rose Gardiner and her husband, Ron, of Florida, and Autumn Rush and her husband, Don, of Salisbury, MD; nine great grandchildren, Clayton, Jonas, Eden Lucille, Richard, Tony, Ariel, Jouleycie, Albert and Lula; and one great-great grandson, Mason Lee.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 15, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Travis Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverends Veronica Barrell and Russell Goodrich officiating. Interment will follow in Cape Charles Cemetery. Family will join friends at the church one hour prior to service.
