Louise P. Smith

Louise Powell Smith, 92, wife of the late Elmer Smith and a resident of Cape Charles passed away Saturday March 26, 2005 at Shore Memorial Hospital, Nassawadox, Va. A native of Cape Charles, she was the daughter of the late Horace Powell and the late Ruth Bender Powell. She was a member of Lower Northampton Baptist Church, where she played the piano for many years. She will be remembered for her seasonal yard decorations. A funeral will be held Tuesday March 29, 2005 at 2:00 PM in Lower Northampton Baptist Church, with the Rev. Rick Kesterson officiating. Interment will follow in the Cape Charles Cemetery. Mrs. Smith is survived by two daughters, Barbara A. Taylor of Cape Charles, Va. and Dorothy L. West and her husband Elwood of Laurel, De. six grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Arthur Powell and James Ellis.
