Louise Etz Rayfield

Louise Isadore Etz Rayfield, 90, wife of the late William C. Rayfield. Sr. and a resident of Cheriton, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Shore Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Rayfield, a native of Bayview, was the daughter of the late Frank John Etz, Sr. and the late Carrie Richardson Etz. Mrs. Rayfield retired from McCrory's Corp. and was a devoted employee of Cherrystone Campground. An active volunteer, Mrs. Rayfield received the 1993 Citizen of the Year award from Cheriton Volunteer Fire Company. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. Mrs. Rayfield is survived by three children; Carrie Louise Rayfield Weedon of Richmond, VA., William Carpenter Rayfield, Jr. and his wife, Jo Ann of Colonial Heights, VA; and Mary Etta Rayfield Robins and her husband, Steve of Cheriton, VA.; one brother, Frank John Etz, Jr. of Capeville, VA.; six grandchildren: Stephanie Renee� Gonzalez, Tyler Jason Weedon, Bettina Carpenter Rayfield, Carrie Leigh Taylor Weedon, Nicole Louise Rayfield, and Meredith Lee Robins; two great grandchildren: Olivia Grace Gonzalez and Rebecca Jane Gonzalez. She was predeceased by a sister, Alene Etz Moore and a brother, Frederick P. Etz, Sr. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Catholic Church with Father J. Michael Breslin officiating. Interment will follow in Cape Charles Cemetery. A Christian Wake Service will be held Monday at 7:00 PM in St. Charles Catholic Church.
