Lois Cooper

Lois Eckenrode Cooper, 94, wife of the late John James Cooper III and a resident of Pungoteague, VA, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021, at Sentara Virginia Beach Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA. A native of Bay Shore, NY, she was the daughter of the late Paul Eckenrode and the late Lillian Smith Eckenrode. She was a dedicated volunteer for Eastern Shore Habitat for Humanity.
She is survived by three sons, Peter Cooper and his wife, Paula, of East Islip, NY, Thomas Cooper of Pungoteague, Robert Cooper of Pungoteague; and two grandsons, Daniel Cooper of Colorado and Ryan Cooper of Long Island, NY.

A private celebration of life service will be held at a later date with interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Bay Shore, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastern Shore of Virginia Habitat for Humanity, P.O. Box 1299, Exmore, VA 23350.
