Lloyd Custis Wallace

Lloyd Custis Wallace, 76, husband of Janet S. Wallace and a resident of Quinby, VA, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012 at his residence. A native of Quinby, he was the son of the late John Edward Wallace and the late Ursula Parks Wallace. He retired from the U. S. Air Force and was a commercial waterman. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 3219 in Phoebus, VA. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Tammy Castagna and her husband, Michael, of Newport News, VA, Sandra Thornton and her husband, Nathan, of Wachapreague, VA, Mark Wallace of Quinby, Lisa Wallace and her husband, Ron Pringle of Starkville, MS, and David Wallace and his wife, Mindy, of Painter, VA; a sister, Nina Lee Bundick and her husband, Frank, of Quinby; six grandchildren, Kaitie, Caleb, and Jacob Castagna, Zach and Rachel Thornton, and Ella Pringle; another grandchild due in June, Aubree Wallace. Other than his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters and a brother. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Smith's Chapel United Methodist Church in Quinby with Rev. Rebecca McGee officiating.
