Linda Thornes Drummond

Mrs. Linda Thornes Drummond, 51, of Exmore, died Saturday, March 19, 2005 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Edward L. Thornes & the late Lena Diggs Thornes. Mrs. Drummond is survived by two children, Shannon M. Mears and husband Dale of Exmore, Va., Greg Birch and wife Anne of Arlington, Va.; two sisters, Mary Frances Merritt of Jacksonville, Fla., Shirley Smith of Exmore; two brothers, Buddy Cherrix of Exmore and Charles William Thornes of Frankford, De.; two grandchildren, Michael and Dale Mears, Jr. both of Exmore. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at 11:00 am from the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with the Rev. Jack D. Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in the Edgehill Cemetery in Accomac. Family will join friends at the Doughty Funeral Home Monday evening from 7 to 8:30. Arrangments made by Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore.
