Lewis Clyde Johnson

Lewis Clyde Johnson, 68, husband of Christine Bell Johnson and a resident of Eastville, VA, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at his residence. A native of Hampton, VA, he was the son of Grover Bowels of Hampton and the late Daisy McGinnis Bowels. He was a retired plumber, an inducted member of USBC Bowling Hall of Fame, and a two time Bowler of the Year. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Lewis Paul Johnson and his wife Laurie of Hanover, PA, Mari Johnson Lee and her husband Earl of Frederick, MD, Elizabeth Laverne Miranda and her husband Daniel of Pueblo, CO, Michelle Lee Johnson of Union City, NJ, and Lewis C. Johnson Jr. and his wife Patricia of Bayonne, NJ; two sisters, Connie Hiebert and her husband Lawrence of Virginia Beach, VA, and Bonnie Alford and her husband Donnie of Corapeake, NC; and twelve grandchildren. Mr. Johnson was predeceased by a brother, James N. Renn. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 27th, at 2:00 PM at the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with the Rev. Dr. Charles Peterson officiating. Family will join friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:30.
