Leah Anne Davis

November 27, 1914 — July 31, 2011

Leah Anne Davis, 96, of Onancock, VA, formerly of Baltimore, MD, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Hermitage on the Eastern Shore. A native of Painter, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles U. Davis and the late Daisy Turner Davis. Miss Davis was a retired secretary for Beech-Nut Corporation. She graduated from Central High School and Farmville State Teachers College. Survivors include two nieces: Diane Stewart of Stewart's Wharf, VA, and Illene D. Hurley of Tucson, AZ; five nephews: T. Blair Stewart of Stewart's Wharf, VA, James M. Stewart of Winchester, VA, Edgar Dryden, Jr. of Secretary, MD, Lawrence Dryden of Salisbury, MD, and Glenn Davis of Spokane, WA. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 5, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Hermitage on the Eastern Shore, 23610 North Street, Onancock, VA with Pastor Joe McKnight officiating. A private interment will be in the Belle Haven Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Painter-Garrison's United Methodist Church, c/o Connie Campbell, P.O. Box 502, Painter, VA 23420.
